REGISTRATION OF GOLFERS AND AWARDING OF GOLF HANDICAP

1. Registration as Golfing Member
All Club members who wish to play golf are required to register as golfing members.

2. Golfing Member Subscription
Monthly subscription ~ RM 36.75 (inclusive of 5% service tax)

3. Golf Insurance
It is compulsory for all golfers to purchase Golf Insurance, which could be arranged through the Club.

4. Awarding of Handicap
The following procedures shall be strictly followed by golfing members in awarding of handicap.

4.1 Non-Handicapper

Step 1 :
Attend the GOLF RULES BRIEFING

Step 2:
Attend the ON – COURSE PRACTICAL SESSION on the Rules of Golf.

Step 3:
Attend and pass a WRITTEN TEST on Etiquette and the Rules of Golf.

Step 4:
May play golf on the course ONLY after obtaining a PROFICIENCY CERTIFICATE from the KGS Golf Professional. A 30-minute assessment fee of RM 50.00 (subject to change) shall be charged by the Golf Professional.

Step 5:
When playing golf on the course, must be accompanied at all times by at least ONE adult golfer with valid USGA handicap.

Step 6:
Submit a minimum of FIVE (5) score cards of stipulated rounds of EIGHTEEN (18) holes or an equivalent in integral multiples of consecutive nine (9) holes.

Step 7:
Attend a round of at least 9-hole GOLF HANDICAP ASSESSMENT.

Step 8:
The Handicap Index shall be awarded based on the computation of the score cards submitted in Step 6 and subject to the golfer passing the GOLF HANDICAP ASSESSMENT in Step 7.

4.2 With Golf Handicap From Other Club

Step 1:
The golfer must submit in his application to the Committee a letter from the other Club or relevant authority to certify his handicap. The handicap submitted shall be based on the USGA Handicapping System. The applicant shall also be required to submit his most recent 20 adjusted scores played over 18 holes each to facilitate the smooth transfer of the golfer's USGA handicap in the System.

Step 2: The Committee shall have the discretionary power to request the applicant to attend and pass a WRITTEN TEST on Etiquette and the Rules of Golf and/or handicap assessment under Rule 4.1.
