By-Laws
are
made
by
the
Racket
Games
Sub-Committee
pertaining
to
the
game
of
badminton
under
Rule
24
of
the
Club
Constitution
for
the
purpose
of
regulating
the
playing
of
badminton
at
Kelab
Golf
Sarawak.
BY-LAWS
1.
Definition
“Club”
means
Kelab
Golf
Sarawak
“Committee”
means
the
Racket
Games
Sub-Committee
of
Kelab
Golf
Sarawak.
2.
Who
May
Play
(a)
All
members
of
the
Club
under
Rule
7
of
the
Club
Constitution
and
divided
into
the
following
categories:
(i)
Adult
Men
Members
(ii)
Adult
Ladies
Members
(iii)
Junior
Members
(18
–
21
years)
(iv)
Family
Members
(Below
18
years)

Rules
for
Open
Day
Sessions:
(i)
Players
are
to
“Register”
their
turn
to
play
on
a
particular
court
by
hanging
their
rackets
on
the
rack
of
that
court
in
sequence.
(ii)
First
to
Register,
First
to
Play
provided
that
when
it
is
a
player’s
turn
to
play
he
must
be
present
at
the
court,
otherwise
he
shall
forfeit
his
turn
of
play.
(iii)
A
player
is
allowed
to
register
in
one
court
only
at
any
one
time.
(iv)
A
turn
of
play
shall
include
a
warm
up
time
of
not
more
than
5
minutes
upon
entering
the
court
and
a
match
shall
be
based
on
best
of
3
sets.
(iv)
Players
must
stop
play
and
leave
the
court
as
soon
as
they
complete
their
game.
(vi)
A
player
may
register
for
another
turn
of
play
after
completing
his
match.
(vii)
Ladies’
days
are
reserved
for
ladies
only
and
men’s
days
are
for
men
only.
(viii)
All
players
must
stop
play
and
leave
the
court
at
7.00
p.m.
when
the
time
signal
is
given.
5.
Booking
Sessions
(a)
Reserved
for
Adult
Members
only.
(b)
Booking
Sessions
start
daily
from
7.00
p.m.
on
an
hourly
basis
until
10.00
p.m.
(c)
Rules
for
Booking
Sessions:
(i)
A
playing
member
may
book
any
one
court
on
an
hourly
basis
at
RM5.00
per
hour.
(ii)
The
member
making
the
booking
must
be
present
at
the
court
during
the
session
booked
by
him.
(iii)
A
member
can
only
book
one
court
per
session.
(iv)
Booking
may
be
made
in
advance
at
the
Club
Reception
Counter.
Booking
is
deemed
confirmed
upon
the
member
entering
his
name,
signature,
time
of
play
and
court
used
in
the
Booking
Register.
Booking
by
telephone
will
not
be
entertained.
Any
cancellation
must
be
done
at
least
12
hours
before
the
registered
time
of
play.
(v)
A
member
who
has
booked
a
court
must
claim
it
within
ten
minutes
from
the
registered
time
of
play
by
occupying
the
court,
and
must
leave
the
court
at
the
end
of
the
hour
irrespective
of
whether
the
match
is
finished
or
otherwise.
(vi)
The
Committee
shall
reserve
every
right
to
cancel
any
booking
under
the
following
circumstances:-
(a)
if
there
is
any
competition
approved
by
the
Club
which
may
infringe
into
the
booked
time.
(b)
court
closed
for
repair
work.
6.
Free
Sessions
(a)
Free
Sessions
are
designated
as
follows:

7.
Guests
(a)
Guests
are
allowed
to
play
only
during
the
Booking
Sessions
by
invitation
of
the
members
in
accordance
to
Rule
16
of
the
KGS
Constitution.
Each
member
is
allowed
to
bring
in
not
more
than
three
(3)
registered
guests.
(b)
Each
Registered
Guest
shall
be
charged
RM5.00
per
hour.
The
charges
for
Registered
Guest
shall
be
debited
to
the
account
of
the
member
inviting
the
said
guest.
Note:
The
Registered
Guest
charges
shall
be
in
addition
to
the
booking
fee
stipulated
in
Rule
5(b)
(i)
above.
8.
Prohibitions
(a)
No
animals
are
allowed
within
the
building
area.
(b)
No
food
and
drinks
may
be
brought
into
the
hall.
(c)
No
littering
in
and
around
the
hall.
(d)
No
liquor
is
allowed
in
the
hall.
(e)
No
smoking
is
allowed
in
the
hall.
9.
Attire
and
Equipment
(a)
Sports
attire
and
equipment,
appropriate
to
the
game
of
badminton,
shall
be
used.
Singlet
is
not
allowed
at
any
time.
(b)
Only
shoes
with
rubberised
soles
are
allowed
on
courts.
Boots
and
shoes
with
leather
soles
or
soles
leaving
clear
marks
are
not
allowed.
(c)
All
shoes
must
be
free
from
dirt
before
entering
the
hall.
10.
Competitions/Training/Coaching
The
Committee
reserves
the
right
to
book
the
courts
for
the
purpose
of
holding
competitions,
training,
coaching
and
friendly
matches
between
the
Club
and
other
organisations,
and
other
activities
as
the
Committee
may
think
fit.
11.
Championships
Subject
to
the
approval
of
the
KGS
Management
Committee,
the
badminton
courts
may
be
used
for
the
State
Level
or
Inter
State
Level
Championships
or
any
other
competitions
approved
by
the
Committee.
12.
Discipline
Disciplinary
action
will
be
taken
against
those
who
breach
any
of
the
above
By-Laws
in
accordance
with
Rule
28
of
the
Club
Constitution.
13.
Amendment
to
the
By-Laws
The
Committee
reserves
the
right
to
amend
any
of
the
above
By-Laws
from
time
to
time
as
it
deems
fit.
Such
amendments
shall
be
conveyed
to
the
members
through
posting
on
the
Club
Notice
Board.
