Built by the Public Works Department (JKR) in 1985, the unique pyramid shaped building houses the Management Offices, Activities Office, Pro Shop, Library, Gymnasium, Bistro, Golfers' Lounge, Golfers' Terrace, Chinese Restaurant and a Banquet Hall.
The pro shop is operated by Transview (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd. They carry a lot of brand names like Titleist, Taylor Made, Maruman, S-Yard, Ena and many others. They open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. weekdays and 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekends and public holidays.
The library is filled with more than 1,500 volumes of fiction and non-fiction books, magazines and reference books for the reading pleasure of the members. With an added subscription of just RM 2.00 a month, members and their family can borrow books for a two week period.
KGS also has a fully equipped gymnasium. Treadmills, a stair climber, bicycles, elliptical machines, muscle strengthening machines and also loose weights. There is also a free aerobics session led by an appointed instructor held every Tues and Thurs starting at 5:30 p.m. for the benefit of the members.
The food outlets are run by Thank Food Sdn. Bhd. They serve a wide variety of dishes which include Japanese, Western, Chinese and local cuisine. For bigger functions, the Chinese Restaurant on the first floor will comfortably sit around 25 tables while the Banquet Hall on the second floor will take about 50 tables. These halls are suitable for private golf tournaments, company dinners, family gatherings and weddings.
Surrounding the club is the 8-lane Olympic sized swimming pool. It is widely used every evening and every weekend. There are also the 4 tennis courts which are complete with night lighting. Next are the two badminton courts and 4 squash courts which are also popular among the members.
